WCHRP

The WCHRP is located near the community of Aguanga in Riverside County, California. This 19.4 acre area of Wilson Creek supports riparian woodland and scrub habitats, as well as alluvial sage scrub communities. The WCHRP provides compensatory mitigation opportunities for impacts to federal and state regulated jurisdictional areas by offering individual conservation easements within the 19.4 acre area. The size and mitigation requirements of each individual conservation easement are typically determined by the regulatory agencies, and are done so on a project-specific/project impact basis.

This WCHRP provides mitigation for projects impacting U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Clean Water Act Section 404, California Department of Fish and Wildlife Section 1600 “pending approval” , and California Regional Water Quality Control Board Section 401 and Porter-Cologne Water Quality Control Act resources within the Santa Margarita Watershed. Santa Ana Watershed, and San Luis Rey Watershed upon agency approval.”
